Installation Guide
- Prepare the surfaces
Ensure the bonding surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, oil, grease and release agents. - Check substrate compatibility
For LSE plastics or painted surfaces, conduct application-specific adhesion testing before mass production. - Cut the tape
Convert tesa 6306 into the required roll width, strip or die-cut shape. - Apply the tape
Remove the liner and apply the adhesive side evenly to the first substrate. - Apply pressure
Press firmly across the entire bonding area to promote intimate contact between the adhesive and substrate. - Join the second substrate
Remove the remaining liner and carefully position the mating component. - Apply final pressure
Use sufficient, uniform pressure to maximize contact and bonding performance. - Allow sufficient bonding time
Where possible, avoid applying excessive mechanical load immediately after assembly and allow the adhesive to build adhesion according to the application conditions.
Storage
- Store in the original packaging.
- Keep in a clean, dry and well-ventilated environment.
- Protect from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
- Avoid contamination of the adhesive surface.
- Keep rolls flat or stored according to the manufacturer’s recommended orientation.
- Allow the tape to reach the application environment before converting or bonding where temperature differences are significant.
- Follow the latest tesa storage recommendations for the specific product version.
