3M specifically identifies flat surfaces, steps, stairways, entrances, ramps, ladders, lawn equipment, snowmobiles, scooters, construction machinery and vehicles as application areas.
Bathroom / wet-area use:
3M 620 can be considered for certain wet floor applications because the 600 Series provides high traction, including wet-condition friction performance. However, it should not simply be marketed as a universal “bathroom anti-slip tape.” Substrate type, water exposure, cleaning chemicals, installation quality and edge protection should all be evaluated for wet-area applications.

Installation Guide
1. Prepare the surface
Remove dust, dirt, grease, oil, wax and other contaminants.
2. Clean and dry completely
The substrate must be clean and dry before application.
3. Check the surface condition
Remove loose paint, damaged coatings or unstable surface material.
4. Measure and cut
Cut the 3M 620 tape to the required length or shape.
5. Position the tape
Position the material carefully before applying firm pressure.
6. Apply gradually
Apply from one end toward the other to minimize trapped air.
7. Apply firm pressure
Use a suitable hand roller to ensure intimate contact between the adhesive and substrate.
8. Pay attention to edges
Edges should be firmly bonded, particularly in areas exposed to water, cleaning or heavy traffic.
9. Allow sufficient bonding time
Avoid unnecessary traffic immediately after installation.
For demanding applications, surface preparation is one of the most important factors affecting long-term adhesion and service life.
Storage
Store 3M™ Safety-Walk™ 620 in its original packaging in a clean, dry environment, protected from direct sunlight, excessive heat, moisture and contamination.
Keep rolls flat or in the manufacturer’s recommended storage position and avoid damaging the abrasive surface or adhesive liner.
For production and commercial applications, always follow the storage conditions and shelf-life information applicable to the specific SKU and packaging.
