Installation Guide

  1. Surface Preparation: Clean and dry both bonding surfaces. Remove dust, oil, grease, and other contaminants.

  2. Tape Cutting: Cut the tape to the required dimensions.

  3. First-Surface Application: Apply the tape evenly to the first substrate.

  4. Liner Removal: Remove the release liner carefully without touching or contaminating the exposed adhesive.

  5. Bonding: Align the second substrate and bring it into contact with the adhesive.

  6. Pressure Application: Apply firm, uniform pressure to maximize adhesive-to-surface contact.

  7. Bond Development: Allow sufficient time for the adhesive bond to develop before applying heavy loads.

For most pressure-sensitive adhesives, initial application below 10°C is generally not recommended. Follow the applicable 3M application guidelines.

Storage

  • Store in the original packaging.

  • Recommended storage conditions: approximately 21°C (70°F) and 50% relative humidity.

  • Keep away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.

  • Protect from moisture, dust, and contamination.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperature fluctuations.

  • Recommended shelf life: 24 months from the date of manufacture under the specified storage conditions.
