Black Kapton Tape

Black kapton tape (Black polyimide tape) is a high-temperature adhesive tape made of polyimide film and coated with silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive. It has excellent insulation, breakdown voltage resistance, high temperature resistance of 260 degrees and other characteristics.

Features:

  • Made of black-dyed polyimide film for full light blocking.
  • Excellent thermal stability: withstands up to 260°C continuous and up to 280°C short-term.
  • High dielectric strength for electrical insulation and circuit protection.
  • Chemical and abrasion resistant, ideal for harsh environments.
  • Clean removal with minimal residue.
  • Available with silicone or acrylic adhesive, and customizable sizes or die-cut shapes.

Applications:

Lithium-ion battery packs (insulation, black shielding), Light-blocking in optical and sensor modules, PCB masking and protection during soldering or reflow, Aerospace and defense electronics requiring UV-blocking insulation, Automotive electronics, cameras, and display modules.

It is recommended to store in a clean and dry place, away from direct sunlight, to prevent damage to the packaging, and to avoid keeping it with volatile solvents. The storage temperature is 0-40°C and the humidity is <80%. To maintain optimal performance, this product should be used within 12 months from the date of manufacture.
