Intern Adhesive Tape Development for Automotive
Assist in the design and formulation of pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA) for automotive use.
Description
As an intern, you will assist in developing, testing, and validating adhesive tape solutions tailored for automotive applications such as NVH damping, lightweight bonding, thermal management, wire harnessing, and EMI shielding. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate new formulations and support real-world simulation testing.

What you will do?
● Assist in the design and formulation of pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA) for automotive use.
● Prepare and test tape samples for mechanical, thermal, and acoustic performance.
● Support simulation testing for vehicle interior, engine bay, and battery environments.
● Analyze test results for peel strength, shear, tack, temperature resistance, and more.
● Help benchmark competing materials and identify gaps or improvements.
● Participate in material selection based on OEM requirements and global automotive standards (e.g. UL, ISO, OEM specs).
● Support technical documentation, data entry, and lab report writing.
What you will need?
● Bachelor's degree candidate in Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or related.
● Strong interest in automotive applications, adhesive systems, or flexible material converting.
● Hands-on experience with lab testing or material formulation is a plus.
● Familiar with Excel, PowerPoint, and basic data analysis.
● Good communication skills in English and/or Chinese.
● Curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
