Installation Guide

Step 1 – Surface Preparation

Clean the bonding surfaces thoroughly. Remove dust, oil, grease, moisture and other contaminants.

Step 2 – Surface Treatment

For difficult substrates such as LSE plastics, powder-coated surfaces or contaminated materials, evaluate whether additional cleaning or surface treatment is required.

Step 3 – Apply the Adhesive

Apply 3M™ 9445 evenly to the first substrate while avoiding wrinkles, air entrapment and contamination.

Step 4 – Apply Pressure

Use a suitable roller or laminating pressure to ensure intimate contact between the adhesive and substrate.

Step 5 – Remove the Liner

Peel away the kraft paper liner carefully without contaminating the exposed adhesive.

Step 6 – Bond the Second Substrate
