Mylar Tape

Mylar Tape is a high-performance polyester film-based adhesive tape, engineered for electrical insulation, heat resistance, and mechanical protection. It is made from PET (polyethylene terephthalate) film, commonly coated with an acrylic or rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive, offering excellent dielectric strength and dimensional stability. Mylar tape is widely used in transformers, coils, motors, capacitors, and electronics assembly.

Features:

  • Made from durable Mylar® polyester film.
  • Excellent electrical insulation and dielectric properties.
  • Withstands temperatures typically up to -10°C ~ 150°C.
  • High tensile strength and tear resistance.
  • Good chemical and abrasion resistance.
  • Available in various thicknesses, widths, and die-cut formats.

Applications:

Insulation wrapping for coils, transformers, and motors, Phase insulation and slot liners in electrical assemblies, PCB masking and protection during soldering or wave processes, Battery pack insulation in EV and energy storage systems, Shielding and isolation in consumer electronics and industrial devices.
